Centre Practitioner: Wendy Vere MA VetMB MRCVS
Veterinary Acupuncturist, university of Guangzhou PRC 1986

Equine Acupuncture can only be carried out by a Qualified Veterinary Surgeon.

Veterinary Acupuncture (VA) has been shown to work on various body systems, including the nervous and autonomic, the musculoskeletal, the endocrine, the circulatory, the digestive, the reproductive, the urinary systems and the body’s immune system. VA can be used in to treat a wide range of symptoms and illnesses, such as; arthritis, back pain, hip displasia, paralysis, muscle and ligament sprains and strains, infertility, incontinence, sinusitis, eczema, allergies and resistance to disease.

The theory is that Chi (a flow of energy) runs through the body along 12 meridians. By inserting fine stainless Steel needles at specific points along these meridians practitioners stimulate the rebalancing of yin and yang (negative and positive energies), thus restoring the normal flow of Chi and enabling the body to heal.
