The facilities are designed to harmonise with the natural and instinctive needs of horses and ponies making them feel more comfortable in the Centre's surroundings.
Horses are accommodated in large rubber-lined boxes with anti-cast rails and self-regulating water systems. They have full view of other horses at all times and any other activity going on in the yards!
There are 19 boxes in the American style yard with full access to the horse walker, stocks/solarium, large secure tack room with separate feed room and rug room with laundry facilities.
Additional
A youngster bay, stallion boxes, treatment and isolation units are located close by. In addition an all weather lunge pen and international sized arena are to hand.
Year round turnout in well maintained paddocks allows the residents to obtain essential nutrients from the grass as well as gentle exercise and 'time out' periods.
The 5.5 miles of grass gallops and hacking, and some cross-country jumps are available for resident horses and ponies in training.
Hydrotherapy Spa
The popular hydrotherapy spa can be found in a separate barn with 3 large rubber lined boxes accommodating patients unable to walk far due to severe distal injuries, or for any outpatients awaiting veterinary attention.
