A Japanese word meaning “finger pressure”, Shiatsu is the sister modality to Acupuncture and works with the same principles. Certain points along the meridian lines are stimulated, to motivate organs linked to that specific spot to self heal.

Shiatsu can aid the improvement of, or even eliminate, physical, emotional and behavioral problems in the horse. This treatment can also be used as a preventative method, as practitioners are able to identify areas of build up or discomfort, and work on diffusing them before problems are created.
